Googled you to try and find you and found out you had passed. We will miss you more than you know. We have had no idea how to find you since you moved from your assited home off of 56th. We are so saddened and will always remember your jokes, sharp wit and contagious smile. Rest in Peace Uncle Eddie.

I thought of you today just out of the blue and decided to Google your name. The last time the family had tried to call you, we found you were in a home. I pray you are telling your jokes to your mother and father, your brothers. I remember you coming out to Cleveland a couple times on one of your trips. All the joke telling and laughing! Tell everyone up there "hello" until we all meet again...

Jeane Murray, VA Blind Rehab Secretary posted a condolence
Wednesday, March 12, 2014
As the secretary for Blind Rehab Service at the American Lake VA, I saw Eddie frequently since he worked for years in Escort Service for Voluntary Service. I retired from the VA in 2004 and so I didn't have much contact with Eddie unless I would see him at Mass.
He was such a joy to know and a wonderful friend. He always had a big smile and would tell a cute joke. He'd always say, "Did you hear the joke about ......?" It could be a silly little joke, but it was always special coming from Eddie.
I attend Visitation Church also, and it always warmed my heart when he would park his car in front of the church and like a true gentleman, always opened the car door for his wife to help her in church.
I jut want Eddie's family to know that he gave great joy to everyone he came in contact with. They can be VERY PROUD of Eddie.
