Our condolences to LaVilla, Victor, Edward, James, and Patricia and all of ENS Amet's family, friends and loved ones. You are in our thoughts and prayers that God will give you peace, comfort you in your sorrow and loss, and heal your broken hearts. We are grateful for Victor's service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service during WWII on the USS Sailfish SS-192 and other ships. To our "Brother of the Phin" ... "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones who remain. Thank you for your service to our country." -- Rev. Ray Fritz, National Chaplain United States Submarine Veterans, USSVI.

As a Stewart Jr High and Lincoln H.S. classmate of Vic Amet, Jr, I convey my sincerest sympathies to Victor's families and friends. I am also a submariner, who understands the requirements and rigors of the life of a sub sailor. Victor served his country proudly and has now gone on 'Eternal Patrol.' South Sound Base, U.S. Submarine Veterans of Tacoma, WA proudly say 'Sailor rest your oars.' Fraternally, John G. Mansfield, Jr. Western Region Director, U.S. Submarine Veterans, Inc.
