Obituary of Chris A. Rambo

Chris A. Rambo age 53 died at the home of his sister on December 26th, 2010 after a short illness. He was able to spend Christmas with his family and stayed with his sister until his death. Chris was a friend to all who knew him, and could be counted on to be there when times were tough for others. He was soft spoken but had a strong sense for right and wrong. He had a sense of humor and enjoyed getting together with friends. He has a collection of pool sticks and darts and is quite good with both. For years he has enjoyed origami designs and is very good at it. At home, on vacation, or wherever he was he would pull a small piece of paper out of his pocket and make something. Our mother used to make beautiful candles and Chris learned how to do this from her. He enjoyed giving candles as presents. The other side of Chris is the technical side. He has numerous books on engineering, computer science, trade journals, and history. He could take a computer apart and rebuild it. Sometimes he would draw engineering diagrams of some new product. After graduation Chris joined the Air Force, and after his term was served he came to Seattle to work at Boeing. He later joined Piper - Morley - Mellinger Funeral Home and has been there for the past 20 years, where he found his niche in life - to be there for others. Chris will be buried in Oregon next to his brother Archie, and his parents Burr and Bernice. He is survived by his sister Cindy Stokes in Seattle, and one nephew and two nieces. Chris carried a Mustard Seed like his dad had, and relied heavily on Jesus for guidance. Chris read scriptures and prayed several times a day (mostly small prayers of thanks). Chris, we will all remember your kindness for others. A Memorial service will be held Jan 8, 2011 11:00 AM at Piper-Morley-Mellinger Funeral Chapel 253-472-3353
