Obituary of Chester R. Novak

Chester Novak, 97, one of the last surviving veterans of WWII, died May 31, 2017. He had lived in Tacoma for 67 years. After working at Pioneer Business Forms for 25 years, he retired as a clerk/bailiff from the Pierce County Courts. Chester joined his wife Mary, and daughter Jeanne Novak Herrin, in death. Chester is survived by daughter Becky Novak Moffitt and grandchildren Elisa and Ben Herrin. A private Honors Service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery.
