I am so glad I really got to know you Martha. I so enjoyed our pet therapy visits with you and Laz - who even came to like and pet George! See you at Merrill Gardens. Hugs.

My sympathies and hugs to Martha and her sons. Victor told me Laz was not a dog person to which I replied, he is now. My dog George, a therapy dog at Tacoma Lutheran Home, made Laz smile in his final days and during Laz's extended stay at TLH, he would smile and pet George when we came to visit. George became Laz's "only favorite dog." We will miss our visits with Laz.

I have been honored to have known Laz for 50 years as we worked together at PSNB. Laz was one of the top bosses in Branch Administration with the difficult job of supervising over 200 branches of the bank and over 200 different managers. There were 3 top supervisors, Laz(The Greek), Ken Platzer(The Hun), and Bob Pearson. Their nicknames are used with affection as Laz and Ken could make the earth shake if you were called into their office with a problem. They all were highly respected and I was privileged to have called Laz a friend. Laz made a special effort to call me into his office every time I would receive an anniversary pin at the bank and I think that was his way of saying he was proud of me as those pins were normally given out from your current boss. Sadly, Ken, Laz, and Bob have all graduated into the arms of our Lord leaving only memories of a great era of banking in Tacoma. To Martha and their boys I leave my warmest regards and want you to know that it was an honor to have worked for such a great man, husband, and father. May God grant you peace and remember his promises that are never broken as you will be reunited in Heaven...Amen.
