Obituary of Carlo M. Giovannini
Carlo M. Giovannini passed away the morning of November 7th, 2016 due to complications from colon cancer. He was born in Tacoma, WA on June 13th, 1929 to Alberto and Maria Giovannini. To know Carlo, was to understand that he would take a hard line, but he was very fair and there wasn't much he would not do for you when he was moved. He was a founding member of Eagles South Tacoma 2933, where he held several positions within the club, additionally he was active in a number of other clubs in South Tacoma. He enjoyed coaching, particularly little league basketball, at the South Tacoma Boy & Girls Club.
Carlo made his living as a Boiler Plant Operator at Fort Lewis. Carlo retired from the naval reserves as a Senior Chief, which he joined shortly after graduating from Lincoln High School. Carlo is survived by his four sons, Mike, Ken, Paul and Mark, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 P.M Friday November 18th at Visitation Church, 3306 S 58th St. Tacoma, WA 98409, with a Rosary at 12:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate to your favorite cancer charity. Tough-Minded Fair Spiritual Concrete Lake.
