To the famiy of this unforgettably beautiful woman, Eleanora Ballasiotes,
What a beautifully talented, loving and devoted woman Eleanora was to our family, including her Godaughter, Rachel Rose-Noel Lindstedt Yarborough. No one could have expected nor imagined the gift Eleanora has been to my daughter since becoming her Godmother. From the baptismal care of selecting clothing and affects to the continual remembrance of Rachel on her birthday, we cannot forget the love shining through her every action. Especially meaningful were the spiritual Orthodox books she sent along to Rachel, and the gorgeous hand-painted icons. As I look at her photos I see her graceful arms and hands , which so skillfully mastered the paint brush, in her devotion to Almighty God.
Of course, before I knew Eleanora she was a friend of my own mother, and their mutual forces together -- put to political and other conservative causes has left a very positive mark, not only on their UP community and the greater area, but also, these efforts have left an indelible impression on my heart and mind, of what noble and directed women in action look like. Thank you, Eleanora, for your wonderful contribution to so many individual lives, including the greatness of your love for your children and grandchildren, Godaughter, and for the example of greatness you leave with those of us who remain.
