Obituary of Julie Kristine Papineau

Julie Kristine (Nichols) Papineau Julie was born September 30, 1970 to Bruce and Kristan Nichols in Tacoma, Washington. On January 4, 2016, in Puyallup, Washington, heaven opened its gates to a beautiful soul. Julie was a loving and devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend to all that she met. She attended public schools in Puyallup, and graduated from Rogers High School in 1989. While in high school she was involved in many activities and especially enjoyed her time on the volleyball and basketball teams. She furthered her education at Washington State University, graduating in 1993. She is forever a proud "Coug" and wore her colors and pride for all to know. After graduation, Julie worked in a number of sales positions, most recently for the Business Examiner, and currently for the Association of Washington Business in Olympia. She loved her work and her colleagues, and had been recognized on numerous occasions for her business achievements. One of Julie's greatest joys in life was baking. Her specialties were cookies and cupcakes that "wowed" everyone. She loved sharing her food with family, friends and co-workers, where her creations were always a special treat. Julie prided herself in being a "country kind of gal" which began as a youngster with her 4-H activities. She showed cattle with her father for many years, culminating with a spot on the WSU team years later. (a note should be made that this was short lived!) She also loved outdoor activities with her family. Gardening and flowers took a forefront each spring, with the joys of harvest each fall. Julie is survived by her husband Mick, and daughters Isabella (10) and Samantha (5). She is also survived by her parents, Bruce and Kristan Nichols, brothers Tom (Donna) Nichols, Trenton (Midori) Nichols, her aunts and uncles, Warren and Bonnie Davis, Cary and JoAnn Carter, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Julie's life was lived with unremitting love and devotion to her family. Her SPIRIT will be greatly missed and forever loved. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 16th, at 2:00 pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 4519 112th St. E. Tacoma, WA. 98446.
