Obituary of Marjorie Bullock Jardeen
A memorial service for Marjorie Jardeen will be held on Thursday June 25 at 1:00pm, at First Presbyterian Church, 20 Tacoma Ave in Tacoma. Marje was born on April 22, 1945 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to Richard and Nancy Bullock. She was gloriously received into the kingdom of Christ June 17, 2015.
Marje graduated from St. Mary's School in 1963. After a brief stint at Briarcliff College, and an adventure to Paris for two years, she became a stewardess for Pan Am Airlines. It was during one of these flights she met her future husband Dick Jardeen. They were married in 1968 and had a joyful and harmonious union for 47 years until Dick's passing in January. In her early years of marriage she experienced a spiritual awakening which marked the rest of her life. Whether volunteering to save innocent lives and troubled youth, leading prayer groups, helping at her home church of First Presbyterian, or counseling a friend through a difficult time, she dedicated her life to serve Christ and others. Her family and friends and just about all who encountered her, felt welcomed, cared for, and most of all loved.
Marje leaves her daughters Cheryl (Jim) Olson, Lynne (Tom) Mahoney, Debra Richard, and Jennifer (Devon) Duval; grandchildren James (Carrie) Mahoney, Peter (Hege) Mahoney, Danielle Dukes, Katelyn Richard, Joshua Duval and Zachary Duval; great-grandchildren Rylan Mahoney, Andrew Mahoney, Max Mahoney and Elisabeth Mahoney; siblings Richard (Patty) Bullock and Nancy {Bunny} Bullock.
