Obituary of David A. Robinson
David A. Robinson, 62, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015. He was born February 15, 1952 in Chicago, IL.
He served in the U.S. Army for 22 years in communications. He and his wife, Wanda, toured Arizona and Germany before settling at Ft. Lewis, WA, where they made a home and raised their two daughters and one son. Later, David worked for the Mayflower Moving Van Company before at his present job with the U.S. Postal Service. There he worked as a semi truck driver and served as the union craft director. David came to know the Lord in Tacoma while attending the Greater Joy Church.
He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Wanda; daughters Trivion and LaTasha (Aadrien); son David Jr, affectionately known as DJ; three grandchildren; three brothers; five sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law and a host of relatives and friends who loved him.
Going home service will be 11 am Thursday, February 19 at Greater Joy COGIC, 5443 S. Thompson Ave., Tacoma, WA. David's final resting place will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
