Obituary of Peter Allen Bidwell

Peter A. Bidwell, of Puyallup, WA, passed away on December 21, 2014. A member of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, he was born on December 1, 1959 to Pen A. Bidwell and Beverly J. Hogan Bidwell. Peter and his wife of 27 years, Helen E. Bidwell, both passed away on the same day. Peter was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Kingston, PA. He had lived in Washington, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Idaho, returning to Washington earlier this year. Peter was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia. He was employed at Chief Leschi School as a kitchen aide. He was preceded in death by his mother and his 2 children. Surviving are his father, Pen A. Bidwell of Mountain Home, ID: brothers Michael A. Bidwell of Luzerne, PA and Patrick A. Bidwell of Wilkes-Barre PA; sisters Star L. Bidwell of Mountain Home, ID, Rose Oakley of Spanaway, WA and Tina Vargo of Buckhorn, PA; brothers and sisters-in-law; several nephews, nieces and numerous cousins. A Memorial Service for Peter and Helen will be held at 11:00am Sunday, February 15, 2015, with lunch to follow, at the Puyallup Tribe Elder Wellness Center, 3010 Duct Cho Rd, Tacoma, WA 98404.
