Obituary of Kenn Allan Johnson

Kenn Allan Johnson died quietly in early December 2014. He was a Tacoma native, son of Esther and Kenn Johnson, Sr. He studied in Connecticut, Austria, and much later, in Eugene, OR. Kenn taught school in Kitsap County and, during the latter part of his life, worked as a physical therapist and occasional substitute teacher in the University Place School District. Other work included translating literature and caring for developmentally disabled adults. Kenn is known in the arts community for making his father's paintings available to the public through shows and galleries and will be remembered by many for singing in the choir at St Peter and Paul Catholic Church for several years. Kenn is survived by his daughter, Maryanne Heald of Scottsdale, AZ; granddaughter, Jamie Heald; sister Karen Jensen and niece Dana, both of Lacey, WA. He took great joy in spending time at Horsehead Bay, WA with his daughter, swimming, rowing, and exploring the beach. Memorial Mass 11 am Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3422 East Portland Ave., Tacoma, WA 98404.
