I apologize for missing the memorial. I misread the paper and went to St.Patricks. I considered Dick a co-worker and a friend. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I know he will be missed. He was a very special person and great to know.

Dear Judy & Family, Dick has been a friend of mine since we were freshmen at Bellarmine in 1956. I was lucky enough to spend more time with him while we were both members of the past three class reunion committees. He was a happy go lucky person that brightened up any room he entered. Simply stated, Dick was fun to be around -- and he will be missed by all of us. Don

Words cannot adequately express our feelings of sadness and loss at the passing of our beloved first cousin and dear friend, Dick Zimbrick. He was the embodiment of kindness and generosity in everything he did. We enjoyed so many wonderful moments of family togetherness over the years. We shared his zeal for genealogy and worked together to trace the Zimbrick family lines back to the old country. He will be sorely missed. We send our deepest condolences and sympathy to his wife, Judy, and his entire family.

I was so fortunate to know Dick for over 40 years, going all the way back to Propulsion Research. One of the best days of my retirement was running into Dick and Judy at her company event Water Park Day about 8 years ago. After seeing each other in the parking lot we reestablished our friendship and spent many wonderful days together fishing and crabbing in the Sound. Returniing to Seattle every summer will never be the same.

Although I never met Dick in person, we kept in contact with each other by e-mail or by telephone for the past six years, sharing our genealogical connection. He was a pleasant man who enjoyed sharing his ancestral discoveries with me. I am going to miss him dearly. My deepest sympathy to Judy and her family.
