Obituary of Patricia Anne Butler
PATRICIA ANNE BUTLER
"LET 'ER BUCK"

Patty, 63, was born May 30, 1951 in Tacoma Washington to the late Ruth French Butler and the late Clarence (Grumpy) Butler from Fife, Washington. Patty was born and raised in Fife, WA. She went to school and graduated from Fife High School, Class of 1969!
While growing up in Fife, she worked picking local fruits and vegetables, babysitting, styling hair and Manicures. She volunteered as a Candy Striper at Good Samaritan Hospital. She went to school and received a Washington State Beautician's license in the early 1970's. She followed her dreams of early Childhood Education and received her degree from Fort Steilacoom Community College. Patty was recruited as a Manager by her Uncle Bob Satiacum to work at the Indian Trading Post and Casino.
After years of working, she settled into being a full-time Mom. Patty only had one birth child, Sara, but she helped raise a Village of little Indian children in Fife, WA (on the block). Patty loved to travel to the Pendleton Round-Up, White Swan Rodeo, Hawaii, Reno, Montana, California, and Port Townsend to attend the Rhododendron Festival with her family.
Patty was always the family Driver, Doctor for all the boo-boo's on the block, the family seamstress of Tribal regalia, she brought her family to all the local Pow-Wow's, the Puyallup Fair, bowling, swimming, she assisted the Teenagers with driving lessons, she always coordinated the 4th of July parties at her brother Bert and Eddie's.
She was a volunteer Parent at Fife Schools Indian Education Program, and organized their annual SLMS Pow-Wow, and assisted the elders, and dancers at the Puyallup Tribal Pow-Wow with "Buggy" rides to and from the Pow-Wow grounds. Patty had a beautiful spirit, and she was always Happy, positive, and feisty!
Patty is survived by her daughter, Sara Ruth (John), of Fife, WA, and her granddaughters, Justine, and Layla of Fife, Alfie, Rayna, Becky, Pamela of Auburn. Surviving family includes her brother, Ed Butler of Fife, and her sister, Lauren Butler-Thomas (Jeff) of Fife, WA, and sister Monica Clark, Wapato. Nephews: Lawrence, Teeias, & Joseph of Fife. Nieces: Lydia, Amenda, Romajean, Arleena, and Deanna, all from Fife. Patty had one great grandnephew, Lawrence Bert, and one grandniece Marlee Jo, of Fife. Patty is survived by her loving cousin Sherry Scott of Portland, OR, Robert (Buster) Johnson, Fife, Nora Keating, Tacoma, and Darlene Sharlow of Tacoma. Patty is survived by two aunties, Rosemary Pimms, Seattle, and Lydia Johnson, Wapato. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
Patty was preceded in death by her brother Bert Butler, her infant brothers Lawrence and Alan, her parents Ruth & Grumpy Butler, and grandson Ronnie Penn, III.
