Our thoughts and prayers are with Stan's family. We were blessed to live across the street from Stan, and came to really enjoy his friendship. We are all so saddened to hear that he's gone, but he won't be forgotten. - Brad, Beccy, and the kids

So sorry to hear of Stan's passing. I met his brother and sister in law yesterday morning at Franklin Elementary while they were walking Bandit and I was walking my dog Enya. I met Stan about three years ago, maybe a little more when my youngest son Alejandro asked him if he could throw the ball for Bandit. Stan let him of course, and that began a great friendship between Alejandro,Bandit and Stan. I last saw Stan several days before he passed when he brought Bandit to the playfield for his evening exercise and as usual Bandit ran to Alejandro who was about to start practice with his soccer team. Stan saw that and told Bandit that they better move on so that Alejandro and the team could practice. I will miss Stan, and Bandit. Alejandro and the rest of my kids who all played with them are very sad over his passing. Stan was a great guy,he had become a fixture in the neighborhood and will be missed by all the kids he let play with his constant companion, and by all the adults that he would tell his stories about his train travels to California and Nevada with Bandit, their trips to vist his brother, and his plans for more. Rest in Peace Stan.

I still cannot believe that you are gone. It was always a comfort to know that you were out there somewhere in the world, in case I needed you. Now you are in Heaven - it is surely our loss. You were my daughter's father - we had a rough start and things turned out differently than we had planned. But you gave me Melissa, our wonderful, amazing daughter. She is an excellent mother to our grandsons and a supportive wife, friend and child. I don't know if I ever thanked you for that most amazing gift. I will always love you for her and for so many wonderful memories of us. Bless you and revel in the fact that you are no longer in pain - it always hurt me to know that you were suffering. Rest in peace, Stan. We will all be along soon enough - I love you always. Kat
