Obituary of Elna Margaret Willard

Elna Margaret Willard "TOGETHER AGAIN" Elna was born December 16th, 1924 in Tacoma, Washington, and passed away May 13th, 2014 in Puyallup, with her loving granddaughter by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Voey, and her daughter and only child DeLora Shirley, as well as her parents John and May Smith. Elna graduated from Federal Way High School in 1942. She worked at the Peoples Department Store in downtown Tacoma, and retired after 20 years with the Bank of California. She loved gardening, and had been a member of the Tahoma Fuchsia Club and Olympic Orchid Society. While residing at San Souci Mobile Estates she was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Elna and Voey enjoyed years of world traveling, and had fond memories of the many hours spent together in their motor home. Elna is survived by her granddaughter Kimberlee O'Hern, great-grandson Ethan Funkhouser, and former son-in-law Jim O'Hern, all of Puyallup. A special thanks to the staff of Welcome Home Adult Family Care (especially Yvonne) for the care given Elna this past year. She is at peace and now reunited with her beloved Voey and Dee. No public services are planned.
