Obituary of Joy Jeanene Moore
Joy Jeanene (Prestridge) Moore, of Tacoma Washington, passed away on February 24, 2014. Jeanene was born in Walker County, Alabama on July 26, 1932. Jeanene spent her early years in Alabama and graduated from Winston High School in 1950. Jeanene married her husband John on January 11, 1957 at the Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City. Jeanene's years of charitable service on behalf of St Leo's Food Bank will be greatly missed. Jeanene was preceded by her father, Jessie Prestridge, her mother, Rosa Clara (Wint) Prestridge and brother James Prestridge. Jeanene is survived by her husband John Moore, sister BettyJo Holly, and brother Jerry Prestridge, son Richard Moore and wife Lynae, daughter Martha (Moore) Miller and husband Michael. In addition Jeanene had six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 6th, at 10:00 a.m., at the LDS Tacoma Washington Stake Center 1102 S Pearl Street with graveside following at New Tacoma Cemetery.
