Obituary of Richard Curtis Nix

Richard Curtis Nix, Sr. Was born March, 10, 1929 in Pawhuska, OK to George A. Nix and Addie V. (Nix) Christie, and passed away on Dec. 24, 2013. He was predeceased by his only brother, James, in infancy, and 2 sons, Frank Nix, and Richard C. Nix Jr. He had 11 children, 41 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren. He was a fisherman and a logger in Alaska for over 20 years. He also worked as a jet mechanic at Alaska Airlines in Seattle, but his love was for music. He was known for his guitar playing at clubs and at home with friends from Alaska to Washington. A memorial will be held at the Spanish church, 1601 E 30th, Tacoma 98404, on Jan. 4th at 2:00. Hydaburg, AK will be his final resting place.
