Obituary of Mabel R. Orlando

Mabel R. Orlando, 92, was born in Tacoma, Washington on October 29, 1921, and resided here most of her life. She passed away on December 15, 2013. Mabel was a life-long member of St. Rita's Catholic Church. She received all of her education in Tacoma Schools, graduating from Stadium High School in 1940. She went on to attend one year of Business College. Mabel was a secretary during all of her working years. Mabel was preceded in death by her father Antonio Orlando; mother, Lily Lupo Orlando; and brother Joseph Orlando. She is survived by a large extended family. Vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 19th at Piper-Morley with Oakwood Hill Funeral Home (253-472-3353) and the funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday Dec. 20th at St. Rita's Catholic Church. Committal Service will take place at Calvary Cloisters. Bequests may be made to St. Rita's Catholic Church.
