Linda and family-
So glad we got to know you all at UNI. Great memories of dinners together. And the thing I remember most about Coach was getting the football alumni golf outing started. Had a great turn out, but some of those guys could hit the ball a LONG ways....just didn't ever quite know where it was going.
Thinking of you all.
Hugs--Tom and Joyce

I had the pleasure of living in the same Lake City neighborhood with the Dunbar family, working for Wayne at the Lakewood Water Co. and being a teacher/coach/school administrator, and a friend to Mike throughout his school career. With all his success, Mike never lost track of his roots and always appreciated those he met along the way. Mike will be missed because he will always be "One of the Good Guys". My condolences to the family. And we have to believe Mike is already organizing the angels to run some new offensive.

Mike was coaching @ UNI when they advertised for a football secretary. I applied and to my surprise, got an interview. When I came in for the interview Mike was trying to tell me how it was in the office. He was trying so hard to find the words to explain that I may hear some profanity or other things. He kept stumbling over his words and I finally leaned forward in my chair, looked him straight in the eye and said..."Look, I grew up around truckers and cowboys. There isn't anything that you or anyone else might say to offend me, I may say something that will offend you." That was pretty much the end of our interview. I was told I would hear in about two weeks if I got the job or not. Two days later I got a call with a job offer. Mike was a great guy to work for. He came across a little on the gruff side, but he always treated me good and never talked gruff to me. I was sad when he left and missed him terribly b/c he was always "on my side". God speed my friend...
