Obituary of Betty L. Elter

Betty Lorain Elter passed away peacefully on July 23rd at the age of 83. Born October 18, 1929 in Tacoma to Charles and Elta Howard. She grew up in Puyallup, graduated from Riverside H.S. Betty was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She lived and raised her family in Tacoma. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Carpenter's Ladies Auxiliary and Visitation Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by Phil, her loving husband of 52 years, son Robert and sister Joyce Taft. She is survived by her son Rodney Elter (Zaire), grandsons Jarron Elter (Ashlyn) Ryan Elter (Aarika), great grandson Luke Elter, sisters Jackie Porter, Donna Mitchell and Sharon Beatty. Visitation 10 AM- 7 PM Tuesday followed by the vigil service 7PM at Piper-Morley with Oakwood Hill funeral Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday at Visitation Catholic Church.
