How do you write a paragraph that expresses how sad you are when your daddy dies? I spent most of my life around this man, for long periods of time, I was with him daily. Nothing can express the emptiness, the loss, the finality of "He's gone." I find that I have to remind myself that I don't need to call and check on him anymore, that I can't call and tell him I love him. Even for all the sadness and emptiness I feel at missing the most important man in my life (so far,) I know that he is home and that he is finally able to rest. I know that he got exactly what he wanted from people, from the world, and from his life. Miss you, dad.
