I grew up next to Dorothy and her five daughters when they moved to Washington. Her children were the first look for me into Christianity. I am thankful she chose the house next door to mine. As a child, I was sometimes afraid of her strong demeanor, but other times you would see the corners of her mouth turn up into a smile when she was trying to be serious. Even though I had not been part of her life after I had grown, I still remember her with the fondest of memories. She was one tough lady and I admire her dedication to God and her family. Many prayers go out to her family, she will be missed.
