Obituary of Lita Ann Marie Williams

Lita Ann Marie Williams passed away on May 18, 2013 following a long and courageous battle with illness. Lita was born in Seattle, WA in 1956. Her loving parents Ida Mae Stafford and Sam Butler preceded her in death. She is survived by her brothers Shannon McDougald of Seattle, Rance McDougald of Denver Colorado and his Wife, Diena McDougald, Sam Butler Jr. of Seattle, WA and Chris Butler, her children, Ricky Cox of Tacoma, Rance Cox of Monroe, Tisha Cox of Tacoma, Necole Dillingham and her husband Charles Dillingham, Jimmy Flipping of Mississippi, Shalita Cox of Tacoma, Gabriel Cox of Tacoma, Ida Louis of South Carolina and her husband, Ron Louis, Isailah Cox of Tacoma, and her beloved cousin and life long friend Sandra Carver of Federal Way. She also leaves behind her nephews Sterling McDougald, Radcliffe McDougald, Tiberius McDougald and nieces Prudence McDougald and Anthonette McDougald. Lita was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Lita attended Harrison elementary school in Seattle and Jefferson High School in Portland Oregon. In addition to raising a family, Lita was for many years a customer service representative for Princess Cruise lines and later she established her own travel agency, Continental Travel Services based in Tacoma WA. Lita was a devout Christian woman and raised her children with a true sense of the import of our Lord Jesus Christ. She spent her life enjoying her children's company and fellowship. She always had a smile and kind word for those that encountered her gentle soul and she simply adored watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchild grow up. Lita lived the majority of her adult life in Tacoma, WA, a community she loved. She was a valuable member of the Tacoma community and she will be forever remembered as an angel on earth.
