Obituary of William C. Moore

William C. Moore Jr. passed away Thursday night in his sleep from pneumonia. William was born in LaCenter, WA. on August 6, 1945, where he spent much of his childhood. William attended Stadium High School in Tacoma, WA. He then in 1962 volunteered for the U.S. Navy, during the Vietnam War. He served as a radarman on the USS Chicago in the Pacific Fleet. During his time in the Navy he spent much time in Japan where he brought back with him the desire and enjoyment to experience cultural diversity. After being honorably discharged in 1966 he went on to graduate from the University of Puget Sound in 1971. William is a founding partner of Sound Care Nursing Home Corp. He has also enjoyed his rental property business for more than 35 years, which has allowed him to be extremely involved in the community. William is survived by his stepmother Edith Moore, brothers John and Timothy, his daughter Evan Rose and grandchildren E'Lea and D'Malakih. Graveside service will be held at 2 PM, May 24, 2013 at New Tacoma Cemetery.
