Obituary of William H. Huesgen

William (Bill) H. Huesgan, of Tacoma, WA, formerly of Debuque, IA, passed away February 21, 2013 from pancreatic cancer. William was born May 20, 1948 in Mason City, IA, the son of Dr. Herman and Corrine (Lovely) Huesgen. Bill attended the University of Platteville until he was drafted into the Army. He served 4 years, two in Viet Nam. He was a Tunnel Rat, and was awarded three Purple Hearts. He managed and owned several bars and restaurants. He was Regional Manager for the Ram Corp prior to joining Better Properties as President of the Food & Beverage Division, working closely with his business partner and friend, Ed Punchak. Surviving is one sister, Jacque (Steve) Willenbring of Dyersville, IA; four nieces, Jill (Jason) Westhoff, Julie Willenbring, Kimberly (Curt) Oyen, and Kelly Willenbring; four grandnieces, Sydney, Brynn, Lauren and Kendyl. William was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Jennifer. Bill will be fondly remembered by his many friends in Tacoma. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Ruston #10018. A celebration of his life will be held at Seafarers Sports Bar, 3878 Center St., Tacoma, WA on Sunday, March 10th, 2013 from 1-5 pm. Bill made arrangements for special Happy Hour prices.
