Obituary of Charles Frank Escarcega

In loving memory of our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend … A truly kind, jovial, loving and generous young man, Chuck was born and raised, and resided here in Tacoma Washington for all of his 44 cherished years. On December 11, 2012, he began his journey home to "Heaven"… Chuck was the youngest of eight children, "the baby", and the man of the house, remaining in the family home, caring for our mother when our father journeyed home in 1999. He graduated from Wilson Woodrow High School and was recently working on a degree at Puget Sound College in Olympia, Washington. He loved horticulture, studying Japanese, and cooking. In addition to loving all the sports, Chuck was an exceptional soccer player in his youth. An adventurous sort, he often rode the bus into Seattle to attend the Mariners games, enjoying walks through Pike Place Market, & along the waterfront after shopping in the big city. Our father smiled proudly from the heavens at the beautiful flower & vegetable gardens and the well kept yard that Chuck manicured in his honor. He is survived by his beloved mother; Darlene Carol (Obi) Escarcega, three sisters; Esther Horseman, Carmelita and Carol Escarcega, and his brother Mario, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, his treasured miniature yorkie "Miss Maggie", In addition to several Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. While "Chuck", will be dearly missed by many, we rejoice that he will happily reunite at the gates of Heaven with his father, Andrew, his brothers Eddie, Gilbert & Tony, his three nephews August Anthony, Courtney Dean, & "Bubby" Mario Andrew, all of whom proceeded him in this journey home.
