Obituary of Mary Louise Divis

Mary Louise (Penny) Divis passed away on November 8, 2012. She was a lifelong resident of Tacoma, WA. Born to George Hagerty and Louise Petersen, Penny graduated from Aquinas High School and performed clerical work before marrying Fred Divis, an avid firefighter.

 

Penny enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending the wet Washington winters in the sunny warmth of Palm Springs with her husband. Penny just recently found out that she had one half-sister and 2 half-brothers. She was delighted to get to know them, spend time with them and share memories of her mother whom she did not know growing up. She was a devout Catholic, an active Red Hatter and loving mother to Karen Jones, Jerry Divis and Diane Sellers. Unfortunately Karen preceded her in death but she is survived by her children, Jerry and Diane, and her four grandchildren..

 

A viewing will be held at Piper-Morley Funeral Home on Friday November 16, 2012 from 2pm-7pm.

Funeral services will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Saturday November 17, 2012 at 10:30

 

Including another viewing, Funeral Mass and a celebration of her life.
