Obituary of Amanda Nadine Young
IN LOVING MEMORY OF OUR PRECIOUS AMANDA
Amanda was tragically taken from us on May 14, 2009 at the young age of 19. Amanda was born in Tacoma, Washington on December 31, 1989, the most precious gift from the Great Spirit. She was a proud member of the Puyallup Tribe. As a child, she was very giving, loving and tender-hearted and she carried these wonderful qualities with her into young adulthood. She was raised in Tacoma and attended Chief Leschi School. Amanda will be remembered for her giving kind spirit, and tender heart toward her loved ones. She had an unconditional love for her family and friends. She leaves behind her mother, Christina (Tina) Young, her father, Daniel (Danny) Young, her sister, Tiffany Young, her brother, Donald Young, her grandparents David and Rita (Tut) Williams all of Tacoma, and many aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. The family wants to recognize and thank the Puyallup Tribe, Gina LaPointe, Elsie Thomas, Sylvia Miller and Roleen Hargrove for their love and support during this hard and difficult time. The Pallbearers for the service will be Jacob Oya, Corey Berry, Jeremiah Gonseth, Jay (JT) Morehead, Lionel Swift, Donald (Donnie) George Jr. The Honorary Pallbearers for the service are Norah Leading Fighter, Lavenia Billy, Miranda Phillips, Regina John, Mary Leon, Elizabeth James, Jacquelyn Salyers, Heather Young, Monique Oya, Heather George, Ramona Stacona. Elder Donald (Pinoke) Hatch Jr. will officiate viewing Sunday, May 17 at Puyallup Tribal Youth Center from 11 AM to 4 PM. Father Pat Twohy will officiate the funeral services Monday, May 18 at the Puyallup Tribal Youth Center at 10:00 AM. Burial at Cushman Cemetery.
