Obituary of James L. Williams

Born on May 25, 1939 to Melvin and Evelyn Williams in Vicksburg Missippi. He was a Military Veteran. Joining the U.S. Army in 1962. He achieved numerous awards, recognitions and medals. Military life took him to Colorado, Texas, Germany, Korea, London and Washington State twice, where he eventually retired spending the last 15 years in Federal Way. He was a member of the Free Masons, loved western movies and country music. He was a graduate of Bowman High School and Evergreen State College. Preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Ida Mae Singleton and Melvie Lee Williams, his brothers Cornelius Williams and Oscar Miller. He is survived by his daughters Sonia R. Williams-Irish and Jeanette Williams, his former wife Sylvia T. Apple, his brother Clarence H. Williams and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He went to be with the Lord June 7th 2011.
