Obituary of George Michael Trutman

George Michael Trutman was born on September 29, 1948 in Tacoma, WA to Louis and Edith Trutman. He had lived in Tacoma all of his life and has had an impact on many lives. He passed away peacefully on February 16, 2010. After graduating from Mt. Tahoma High School, George served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal. He was employed and retired from Safeway as an Inventory Control Clerk and had coached little league baseball for many years. He was a life long member of Visitation Parish where he served as an Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the South Tacoma Eagles Aerie # 2933. George was preceded in death by his father and mother, Louis P. and Edith Trutman, his brothers Louis and Robert. He is survived by his loving wife Joan, his sons Lee, Louis and Nicholas, and his precious granddaughters Jade and Jasmine. He is also survived by sisters and brothers in-law Ida and Duane Annoni, and Rosie and Bob Kienow and cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank all of you for your love and support during these difficult times and to the family members who were there by his side during his struggle. The family also wants to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mark Brooks, Fire Station 10 and to Visitation Parish for their support, care, compassion and friendship.
