Obituary of Mary Barna Triplett

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Mary Triplett, passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, at the age of 97. Mary was born in Tacoma, the 3rd of 10 children born to Slovak immigrants John and Susan Barna. In 1934 she married John Triplett. He passed away in 2006. Mary was predeceased by siblings Helen, Steve, John, Bob, and infant Peter. Survivors include her sisters Anne, Margaret, and Marcy, brother Frank, son and daughter-in-law Jack and Nancy Triplett of Puyallup, daughter and son-in- law Marylynne and Bob James of Portland, Oregon, six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and caregivers Linda, Shirley, and Juanita. Mary treasured family, friends, her home, her flower garden, and her church, She was a 97-year member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Remembrances to St. Joseph Church. A recitation of the Rosary, followed by a Funeral Mass, will begin at 10:00am Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Arrangements by Piper-Morley-Mellinger.
