Obituary of Evelyn Doris Stumpf

Evelyn passed away on August 1, 2012 after a long battle with Lupus with her family by her side. She was born December 17, 1941 in Holt, MN to Bernard and Florence Maijala and moved to WA as a child. Camping and spending time with her family gave her great joy. She is survived by her husband Joseph and children Joseph, Charles (Kenda Ruth), Denise Patajo (May), Larry (Wendy). Grandchildren Kara and Alec Patajo, Tyler, Ashley and Emily Stumpf. Sisters Marjorie Yager (James), Dorothy Stumpf (Robert) Diane Conner (James), Sonie Hansen (Doc), sister in-law Edwina Maijala and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lorraine Maijala, son David Stumpf and brother Earl Maijala. Viewing at Piper-Morley with Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel Monday 8/6, 2:00 to 6:00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Visitation Catholic Church, 3314 S. 58th St., Tacoma, WA 98409 Tuesday August 7, at 10:00am preceded by the Rosary at 9:30am. Interment Tahoma National Cemetery.
