Obituary of Paul Royal Shahan

Paul Royal Shahan, 56, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2011, at Manor Care in Tacoma. Paul was born in Spokane, Washington on June 13, 1954, but lived his whole life in Tacoma. He will be interred with his mother and dad, Pauline and Glenn Shahan, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. He leaves behind his sisters Linda Shahan and Pamela Rhodes and brother-in-law Terry Rhodes. Paul had a wonderful life. Growing up he liked picnicing and camping, going to the ocean, and playing games. He had a cat named Smokey. He received his diploma from Mt Tahoma High School. Paul worked at Goodwill for awhile, and, with the help of Educational Assistance, he was able to have his own apartment and live independently throughout his adult life. We are thankful for the care and love his caregivers gave him. Paul will be missed dearly and we will misss his laughter and touch. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Monday, May 2 at Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel, 5210 S Alder, Tacoma 284-2738.
