Obituary of Evelyn Beatrice Rohrs

EVELYN BEATRICE ROHRS Evelyn was born on March 15, 1919 in Seneca, Kansas. She was the oldest of 9 children of Roy and Teresa Becker. Evelyn went to meet the Lord on October 31, 2009 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Forrest (Shorty) Rohrs, Brother Leroy and two grandchildren. She is survived by her three daughters, Margie Williams of Puyallup, Doreen Harvey (George) of Golden Hills, CA and Delores Stein of Tacoma and one son, Gary McAtee of Aberdeen, two sisters, Mary Jo Berges and Alice Fairfield and five brothers, Harley Becker, Donald Becker, Phillip Becker, Ronnie Godbout and Richard Godbout, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Evelyn served as High Priestess of L.O.S. Ahlab Court #67. She belonged to Fern Chapter of Eastern Star for 48 years, Corinthian Eastern Star and Ladies of the Nile of Tacoma, WA, in which she served in many different positions. Evelyn enjoyed her many friends, especially her Friday night group and her Friday afternoon bingo with the OLD FOLKS. She loved playing cards and especially giving the boys a bad time. Our family would like to thank all of our many family and friends for their thoughts and prayers during this trying time, especially Jeannie Strand for her love and support. A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 4:00 pm at the South Tacoma Masonic Center, 5405 South Puget Sound Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98409. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to L.O.S. Unfunded equipment fund in Evelyn's name.
