Sandra loved the Lord, her family, friends and strangers. She truly understood what the Lord commanded when he said, "Love your neighbor". She expressed this through a life of serving others. She spent 22 years in the field of nursing, with special care to aging patients and friends recovering in their homes. In addition, she served the homeless through various feeding outreach programs offered through her church, Shiloh Baptist and in Memphis, Tennessee. In addition she enjoyed singing in the ES Brazil Choir, bowling, traveling, music, dancing and was a darts champion and she was an avid sports fan of the Pittsburg Steelers & Chicago Bears and loved track . She was known also for her extensive teddy bear and baseball hat collection. In 2005 she suffered a massive stroke which changed the way she lived life, but did not change her heart for people or her love of singing praises to God. She will be missed dearly by many. Family Note: During the final week of her life, she was able to spend special moments with her family. During which, she had a clear mind and seemed to be free of the forgetfulness brought on by her stroke. She was joyful and at peace. We thank God for the years He allowed us to be with her. Please celebrate her life and passage into the Lord's arms with us. Viewing Thursday 10/18/2012 11am-5pm at Funeral Home.
