After graduating from St. Leo's High School, she attended Business College and went to work for Tacoma Box Company and Meadow Park Golf Course. Her work career included being school secretary at Visitation, Holy Rosary and All Saints Catholic Schools. Lauraine was dedicated to her family, a creative calligrapher, lover of nature and a woman of deep faith. Her life touched many people. She was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Laura Megary, her husband Donald, son Michael, infant daughter Mary and son in-law Greg Mykland. Lauraine is survived by daughters Sister Sharon McDonald, OSB and Margie Mykland (Greg); and sons Tom (Rose), Larry, Stephen (Janice), Joe, and John (Cari); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and support staff at Tacoma Manor Care, who took exceptional care of Lauraine and her family. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Visitation Catholic Church Wednesday, September 5 at 11:00 am. The Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am prior to Mass.
