Obituary of Luella Matz-Gellenbeck

Luella Matz-Gellenbeck Life-long resident of Tacoma, WA; passed away unexpectedly Aug 4, 2008. Luella was born on Feb. 13, 1940. She went to Visitation Catholic School and attended Lincoln High School. Luella worked as a hair dresser and recently as a travel agent. She loved her job and was a favorite with customers and co-workers. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society and the Eagles. She loved planning her trips to Reno. Luella was preceded in death by her father Matt Matz. She is survived by her Ma Philomena Matz, children Karie (Pete) Gordon, Ed Gellenbeck, Ann Gellenbeck (Marty Stevens), grandsons Josh and Wyatt, and her brother David Matz. Luella was an animal lover and will be missed by her beloved pets Sadie, Petunia and Precious. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Sat. Aug. 9, 2008 at 12 noon at Visitation Catholic Church, 3314 S 58th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409. Reception in the Church Hall following the Mass. Arrangements by Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel 253-473-2900.
