Obituary of Teresa Mary Krugmire-Burke

TERESA MARY KRUGMIRE-BURKE, a gentle woman, born in Tacoma WA to Louie & Rose Riconosciuto Dec. 5, 1921, passed March 3, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Teresa grew up in the Italian Community on the Tacoma Hilltop, & was a graduate of Stadium High School. She started her work life in the '40s as a comptroller for Peoples Dept. Store, also worked at the Pierce County Annex as a Secretary to the Boundary Review Board for 15 years. But the best part of her life, with all the trials, tribulations, joys, & celebrations, was as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, & friend each holding a very special place in her heart.! She is survived by her husband Gordon T. Burke, of West Seattle, her home these the last 25 years. Her children, Sharon (Martin) Hauptman, Barbara (Kess) Blaswich, Susan (Charlie) Matteson, & David (Ginger) Krugmire; her grandchildren, Richard & Mark (Chinami) Bottorff, Daniel Lincoln 111 (Mark Watts), Benjamin Wolfram-Krugmire, Steven (Diane) Barringer, Charl (Kirsten) Matteson, Jacob Krugmire, & Austin Hironaka; Great-grandchildren Sarah, Naomi, & Miriam Lincoln, Dean & Jackson Bottorff, & CJ & Isabella Matteson; her siblings, Mary Bradford, Elvira (Tom) Manley, Gloria (Ron) Russo, & James Riconosciuto. Those going before her & waiting to greet her include her parents, Louie & Rose Riconosciuto, the father of her children, Richard (Buzz) Krugmire, son Richard B. Krugmire, Jr. Granddaughter Rachelle Roxane Lincoln, infant Great-Grandson Preston Oliver Barringer, & brother Marshall Riconosciuto. Special thanks to the staff at Franciscan Hospice House, & Nurse Tita for their wonderful care. The family suggests memorial donations to Franciscan Hospice House, or St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thur.
