To all the Knoll family, my heartfelt sympathy and love. I loved talking to your mom every time I saw her. She inspired me with the faith she shared, her caring for others and the love of her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

God bless our dear and kind Gen. Never have I met a more devoted soul, in her prayers and spiritual devotion to Our Lord, the Blessed Mother, and her unending love for her family, friends and relatives. I can only think of positive things to say about Gen. She worked very hard during her lifetime. She was a loving wife and mother. Her humble beginnings growing up on a farm made her the salt of the earth. She remembered many who were less fortunate, and would often visit her family and friends who were in poor health and bring them a ray of sunshine. Gen would speak German to my Mother, Hilda Gruse, her 1st cousin, and have their own private conversations. Then they would both giggle at what they said. It was good for both of them. One time Gen went to see my Mom in the nursing home, and Mom didn't recognize her. Gen said "Hilda, vi gates?" (what's up?) Mom perked right up and knew it was Gen. God bless Gen for the many hours in the kitchen she spent making German food, lots of pastries, and just cooking for her family for any occasion. I will deeply miss Gen for the wonderful lady she was. I am grateful to know she lived a full life, touching us all with her love. Our prayers to her family and loved ones for comfort. She is at peace and has made it into the loving arms of Our Lord.
