My good friend is gone and I am sad. I am so glad I had a phone visit with Frank after his stay in the hospital. All who knew him the way I did were enriched by his faith, great sense of humor and his knowledge of jazz. I cherish the times we would discuss various jazz artists and the times he would call me and say “Hey listen to this” and play a piece of music over the phone. My condolences to his family and all who knew this fine man. Dick Johnson Sunset and evening star And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark; For though from out our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crossed the bar.

I am sorry to hear of Frank's passing. Growing up in my house I heard many Frank Hickey stories. (I am suprised Frank and my dad survieved thier childhood and were never arrested!) I remember watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon at the Hickey house. Frank was pretty excited about the whole thing. I remember dad and Frank making us kids come in and watch when we all wanted to be outside playing... (I am glad they did) He was one of my dad's closest freinds. When dad was on chemo a few years ago, it was Frank who called and emailed to cheer him up. In the Christnacht house Frank was larger than life. He will be missed but the memories will live on. Our best Bob and Kristen Christnacht

Uncle Frank, I will miss you and your sense of humor. I have many fond memories of learning how to play cards in the University Place house with you and the rest of the family.

Frank was a friend and business associate for more than 40 years. After we both retired, we kept in touch via phone and internet. I will miss him and his witty asides.
