Obituary of Max Edgar Heinzmann

Max, born 1918, a longtime Tacoma resident, passed away on Dec. 7 at age 91. He served aboard the USS Phoenix, surviving the Pearl Harbor attack and 57 subsequent sea battles. Max was also a 37-year employee of Dun and Bradstreet. He was preceded in death by Doris Berg, his wife of 50 years, and is survived by two children, Karen and Max, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2010 at the Oakwood Hill Cemetery in Tacoma.
