She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church who fell in love with and married a man who was a Baptist. Their children would be brought up in the Catholic faith. When asked one time if it bothered her that not all of her children had remained Catholic, she said no she was just thankful that they all knew the Lord. She was a busy home maker and Mom who loved tending her flower gardens, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels, and sitting in her chair reading a good book. Most of all Stella enjoyed the company of family and friends who dropped in for a surprise visit, sent a letter in the mail, or just called to say hello.
