Obituary of Delbert Allan Fleming
Delbert Allan Fleming Age 67, of Tacoma, formerly of Aberdeen, passed away Friday, February 21, 2008 at his home. He was born April 22, 1940 in Aberdeen, WA to Arthur Lloyd and Elenore Janet Fleming. He was a 1959 graduate of Aberdeen Weatherwax High School, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as an insurance agent for Farmer's Insurance Group in Aberdeen, more recently working for Companion Services of Tacoma. He helped as many people as he could through extensive volunteer work and missionary service, one of his more recent being Hurricane Katrina disaster relief. He married Pamela Dianne Burnham on January 9, 1965 in Aberdeen, WA. He is survived by one daughter, Tori Rose, Olathe, KS; one sister, Ruth Fleming, Medford, OR; two brothers, Melvin Fleming, Orting, WA, Chester Fleming, Montesano, WA; and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arthur Fleming. He attended the Tacoma First Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, his family, his friends, and his church family. Arrangements were made with Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel in Tacoma. A small memorial service was held Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Tacoma First Baptist Church. Further memorial services are pending.
