Obituary of Margaret Katherine DuMond

Margaret Katherine (Ferderer) DuMond Margaret died Wednesday at the age of 89 from injuries resulting from a fall near her home in Tacoma. Margaret was born July 5, 1918 in Mandan, North Dakota, the eldest of five children of Liberatus and Justine Erhardt Ferderer, who had emigrated to America from the Ukraine. Margaret moved from the Midwest to Tacoma in 1939, and worked as a timekeeping secretary at the Seattle Tacoma Shipbuilding Corporation. She soon met and married Cecil DuMond, her husband of 32 years, who died in 1975. She is survived by her four children, Darrel DuMond and Linda Jewett, both of San Jose, California, Diane DuMond of Lakewood, and Gregory DuMond of Santa Clara, California, her four grandchildren, James, Dominic, Jana and Tomas, and by her two sisters, Phylis Fromdahl of Lakewood, and Elaine Molzer of Tacoma. Funeral arrangements made by Piper-Morley-Mellinger, 472-3353, with a graveside service Saturday at 11am at Calvary Cemetery.
