Obituary of Edward Axavior Corrigan
Ed Corrigan was born Sept 14, 1918 in Centralia, WA and passed away Sept. 22, 2009 in Tacoma, WA. As a young child his family moved to Tacoma. He met his future wife, June Osborn, 14 at the time, while working as a maintenance man for various lumber mills in the National/Ashford area and married in 1943. June passed in 1991. He is a 1937 grad of Bellarmine. He served in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. After his military service he joined the Tacoma Fire Department in 1946 where he retired as Battalion Chief in 1976. He is the father of 7 children, Ken Corrigan, Ed Corrigan, Dan Corrigan, Janice Lokovsek, John Corrigan, Karen Corrigan, Patty Filley, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his fairness and honesty. He will be greatly missed. The funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM Sat. at St. John of the Woods Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited 7:00 PM Fri. at the Piper-Morley-Mellinger Funeral Chapel. Burial Calvary Cemetery. The family requests Memorial Contributions to Bellarmine Prep.
