Obituary of Jerry LeRoy Carkhuff

Jerry, age 66, of Kent, Washington died December 30, 2008 at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington, where he fought a fierce battle with cancer. He was born on September 25, 1942, in Tacoma, Washington, the son of Donna Dillon. He attended school in Tacoma and later spent several years in the coal mines of Tennessee. He returned to Washington and married his wife, Janice, in 1980. He was a proud member of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians where he worked for Law Enforcement and Gaming. Jerry became a member of the East Hill Baptist Church that he attended regularly with his beloved wife, Janice. Jerry is loved and blessed by family, many friends and colleagues. He is survived by his wife, Janice, of 29 years; children, Jerry Jr., Heidi Tabor, Anthony, Jason and Bobby Coleman; stepchildren, Lorrie, Linda, Lisa; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by his brothers, Larry Reynon, Lloyd Reynon, Ricardo Raquel and sisters, Joanne Wadhwani and Linda Ward.
