Obituary of Clarence GRUMPY Butler

Grumpy was born in Port Townsend, Washington on May 14, 1928 to Eliza Young Butler and Lawrence Joe Butler. He lived in Fife, Washington, and Tacoma, Washington, and Hilo, Hawaii. He attended Fife Schools, from Kindergarten through the 12th Grade. After graduation, he enjoyed attending his class reunions, usually reminiscing of years past with his lifelong friend Bob Jordan. Grumpy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kay Butler of Tacoma, stepsons Dennis, Leslie and Richard Hyde, grandchildren Amber, Neil, Travis, Robby, and great grandchildren, Kathryn, and Tristan. Grumpy is also survived by his eldest daughter, "His little girl" Patricia Butler, his son Edward (Ed), and daughter Lauren Jo Butler-Thomas (Jeff), his grandchildren Lawrence, Sara, Lydia, Amenda, Joseph, Romajean, & Teeias, and his great grandchildren Justine, Marlee Jo, and Layla. He was preceded in death by Ruth French Butler, and son Clarence Bert Butler. He always left the room with a smile, raising his hand to wave good-bye, saying "HASTA-LA-VISTA!"
