Dear Norma, I could not have asked for a better mother-in-law than you! You have always been supportive of me and have never said an unkind word to me. For that I will always be grateful. Early in our marriage, Roger would always say "only my mother can make the best macaroni & cheese, and Bread Pudding." I wanted to slap him, but I have to admit he was right. We have made your Bread Pudding every Christmas for the past 52 years. It's a special tradition, and not made at any other time of the year. I know you are with your loved ones up there, but we will miss you here. Love Mary

Dear Grandma, I remember you teaching us how to play cards when you came to visit us at our house. I loved the game of "31". When Mom told me that you played bowling and other games on the Wii at the nursing home, I was jealous because I don't have one!! "Even Grandma has one!" I said. Maybe I'll get one for Christmas -- Can you help me out up there in Heaven to convince my mom? I love you, Evan

Dear Grandma, We think of you every Christmas when we put you cross-stitch ornaments on our tree. I really enjoyed seeing you in May at the nursing home, You really went fast in your wheelchair! I love you, Rachel

Dear Grandma, My most treasured memories of my childhood were also during the most difficult time of when my father was killed. My mom, Rusty and I spent the following 2 or 3 WHOLE summers at your house by MaryMount Academy. Even though you and Grandpa Ray were still working at the school, my memories are full of days that we went camping and fishing. You and Grandpa taught me how to put a worm on a hook and how to get it out if the fish swallowed it! Very important skills - which I am ashamed to say I have lost today and am too squeamish to teach my own children!! I will never forget the love and security I have always felt from you. I have saved several of your letters over the years encouraging me when times were tough. I am so glad Rachel and I were able to see you this past May!! I will always treasure your last words to me after asking how my children's health was, you said with tears in your eyes "You are such a good Mama, I am SO proud of you!" THANK YOU GRANDMA, I will remember your words forever and that will be my strength to keep going!!! I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH AND WILL MISS YOU!!! Susan
