I was an Italian language student with Toni this past year. She was a joy to share time with. It was always amazing to watch her translate the language. She was humble regarding her singing but we always could pull out a story or two about the goings on in her life. She will be missed from our circle.....Marguerite Gerontis

My most sincere condolences to Toni's children and grandchildren at this sad time. Toni was a very special person. As you said in your obituary, she was fun, loving and independent, and she was never hesitant about letting her opinion be known, but it was always in a nice way. Your obituary captured Toni's wonderful personality and character perfectly. The last time I saw Toni was a few months ago, when we had dinner at Anthony's in Tacoma. She spoke with such pride about all of you. Reading the obituary you wrote and talking to Jeanette last night made me understand that you were just as proud of her. And rightly so. Thank you so much for letting me know that your dear mother had died. I shall always have fond memories of her, especially of the days when we were wives of medical students and young mothers. Love to you all and strength through these difficult days, Shawn George

I want you to know my heart goes out to all of you over the loss of your beloved Mom. I worked with Toni at the Port of Tacoma for many years and have been part of the "Ski Gals" for 21 years. Toni was warm, loving, giving and truly a "one of a kind" woman and through the years we learned to "expect the unexpected" from her! She was blessed with a servants heart and was an awesome cook. Numerous times she surprised the Ski Gals with her delicious left over gourmet concoctions! She was very talented and shared her artistic creativity with us by making each of us a "Ski Gal" shirt with our name and picture on the front. We were recipients of her loving generosity. Last year she gave each of us sequined baseball hats. One year I complimented her on her beautiful ski jacket and several years later she wrapped up the jacket and gave it to me. I treasure these gifts. She had a beautiful ski style and continually practiced. She was determined to improve and said... "even Michelle Kwan had to practice!" She was an inspiration to all of us and we will miss her!! The wonderful memories I've shared with her through the years will stay alive in my heart. God bless all of you as you walk through this time of grief and sorrow. I will continue to hold you up in prayer. Love and Prayers - Dorothy Brown

There was never a dull moment with Toni around either on the ski slopes or in the Port offices. Always has a question for you and never afraid to give her opinion which sometimes got her in trouble, but it never slowed her down. She was our entertainer and inspiration for living our lives to the fullest. As one of the "ski gals" who has gone through 21 years of annual ski trips with Toni, I know she will be so missed. I can see Toni with her unique personality knocking on the pearly gates of heaven, skis in hand, singing her heart out and maybe thinking about cooking some pasta! Yes, she will be leaving a void in a lot of lives, but she will also be leaving a lot of memories for us. My fullest sympathy to her family.
